Important Things You MUST Know Before Buying Latex Clothes

Latex is an extremely appealing material that can boost your style and confidence, however there are a few important things you must know before buying latex clothing and accessories online or at shops.

Latex Doesn’t Make you a Fetishist

Not every individual, wearing latex, has a latex-fetish. Therefore, if you want to add glossy, body-hugging outfits to your wardrobe, it doesn’t automatically make you a fetishist or a person who is into extreme practices. Latex holds a position as a very fashionable material, which is popular among designers, pop stars, actors, influencers. Many people simply enjoy certain aspects of eco-friendly latex material.

Speaking of a fetish, it means that individuals get aroused only when seeing, wearing or touching latex.  If you want to appear at the upcoming event in handmade latex dress, it doesn’t mean you have a fetish for it. Don’t overthink it, and don’t let the doubts or false interpretation stop you from trying it. However, it may happen that you will somehow develop a fetish for it, and it can become a turn-on for you or your partner.

Wearing Latex Requires Courage

Wearing a catsuit in public for the first time is a bold move, and it requires confidence.  As soon as you appear in such outfit, all eyes will be drawn at you, until it’s not a themed party where everyone is wearing latex. If you’re a shy person, you might experience some vulnerability, when all your curves are so visibly defined. You must prepare for a lot of attention, some people will look at you and appreciate your shapes, and some of them will imagine you in their beds.

Wearing latex bodysuits feels somewhat like being naked. Therefore, if you are going to buy a catsuit, ensure it’s appropriate for the occasion and won’t leave you feeling the need to hide from everyone’s eyes. If you like to draw attention and make bold statements, that can be a good experience for you. However, if you’re more reserved, it’s better to start at small accessories such as gloves, stockings, lingerie. These garments are budget-friendly, while they provide you with a basic understanding of how latex feels on the skin.

Comfort Should Come First

Zippers in the front or on the back can ease the process of putting a latex outfit on. Although wearing a catsuit without zipper can bring you a fantastic feeling of the second skin, it might be tricky to enter it through your neck, especially if it’s your first time wearing latex.

Putting on latex requires practice and care, because the material can be torn or destroyed. Therefore, if you select your first catsuit, consider buying a model with zipper on the back or in the front.

Catsuits and leggings with zippers at the bottom provide easy access for your partner when you are going to have some fun.  In addition, zippers offer a solution to one of the most common concerns: the need to use the restroom. With a well-placed zipper, you can attend to nature's call without the need to undress completely.

Dressing Aid is Necessary

Putting on latex requires a dressing aid such as a silicone lube. First, clean the latex garment with liquid soap before putting it on for the first time. It helps to remove any manufacturer residues that may irritate your skin. Lay it flat or hang it to dry in a shaded area away from sunlight and heat sources.

Once it’s dried, turn the outfit inside out and apply silicone oil or a dressing aid on the inside. Silicone oil is better since it makes wearing easier as well as protects the outfit from sweat.

Don't use talcum powder inside the latex outfit as it can be really messy when you undress. Combined with sweat, talcum forms clumps, causing bulges and skin irritation.

Also, use a tube to blow air underneath the outfit, to make it fit better and reduce stress on the material.

You Should Wash Latex After Each Use

It's important to wash latex outfit immediately as soon as you stop wearing it. If you leave it with sweat, body oils, lotions, creams and other residues from your skin, this may result in rapid deterioration.

To wash latex, fill a basin or sink with water (30-40 0C), add a gentle soap or Fairy liquid and then rinse it in this water without scrubbing. After cleaning, hang in on a non-metal hanger or lay it flat to dry. To make your latex shine, use shine spray or fluid, otherwise it will lose its shiny look.

Be Careful with Extended Wear

Although latex looks attractive with its snug fit, emphasizing contours, it can restrict movement and lead to discomfort, especially if you’re wearing it for an extended period. Latex isn’t breathable, so it can cause chafing and overheating, as well as moisture buildup and perspiration.

It’s not the best option to wear in a very hot and cold place. Selecting latex as your party wear, make sure you won’t overheat or freeze.  Avoid wearing multiple latex layers, as it can lead to discomfort. Latex doesn’t work well as an outfit for all-night dancing, because it doesn’t absorb sweat.
